Circle Network, the official TV and media home of the Grand Ole Opry, announced Tuesday the return of one of the network’s hit programs, “Talking in Circles with Clint Black,” for a highly-anticipated fifth season, premiering on Saturday at 10/9c. Hosted by Country Music icon Clint Black, the sit-down interview-style talk show brings intimate, exclusive conversations to Circle’s viewers, bringing fans closer to their favorite entertainers. This season’s roster of guests includes legendary singers/songwriters, TV personalities, and athletes, including Bret Michaels, Elle King, Jimmie Vaughan, John Oates, Marcus King, Paula Abdul, and more.

I spoke to Black a few months ago and was truly impressed by how comfortable he made his guests feel. Not only that, he also had a wealth of knowledge about each artist/personality. “Clint does his homework,” his publicist informed.

“I’ve enjoyed filming ‘Talking in Circles’ so much and I’m thrilled to continue the series on Circle Network,” said Black. “This season, I’m really looking forward to sharing some of these funny and insightful interviews. I can’t wait for fans to tune into season five!”

Season five of “Talking in Circles” will kick off with performer and TV personality Paula Abdul, who sits down with Black for a candid conversation about her multifaceted career as a choreographer, TV judge, singer, and dancer, and the memories she’s made along the way – including a date with Black and choreographing for Michael Jackson. Throughout the remainder of the season, Black will continue to give viewers a seat at the table as he chats with fellow entertainers such as Bill Engvall, Bret Michaels, John Oates, Elle King, Lee Greenwood, Jeff Hanna,, and more to talk about their lives and careers in an in-depth interview style, signature to Black . New episodes will air weekly on Saturday nights at 10/9c.

“Where else can you hear from artists ranging from Elle King to Bret Michaels to Lee Greenwood, about their lives and careers?” said Evan Haiman, Circle Network’s SVP of content. “I’m thrilled to unveil the lineup for the fifth season of Talking in Circles and bring our viewers new interviews with Clint Black and his guests. Clint is such a unique, gifted interviewer and we’re so excited to be working with him again. You won’t want to miss all the never-before-heard stories he talks about with his season five guests!”

I was at the taping of the Paula Abdul interview and all I have to say is, “The world is in for a treat. This pint-sized dynamo is a force to be reckoned with.”

I have interviewed more than 300 artists, and nothing can ever touch her “rise to fame” story. From being babysat by Michael Bolton to trying out for the LA Lakers three times with three different names, this interview is not to be missed.

I also attended the taping with King. It was refreshing to hear from someone so talented yet so humble. She truly has no clue how gifted she is.

“Talking In Circles” has quickly become one of Circle Network’s most-watched shows and most recently earned the spot as a finalist in Cynopsis Media’s Best of the Best and Rising Star Awards in the “Best Talk Show” category.

Black recently received the well-deserved Poet’s Award at the ACM Honors, an award given to the most remarkable and enduring talents in country music songwriting. The ACM Honors aired on September 18 on FOX.

Circle is a joint venture between Opry Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of Ryman Hospitality Properties, and Gray Television. For more details on how to watch Circle, visit findcirclenetwork.com.
