A U.S. senator from Tennessee released a video recapping a 95-county tour of the state, which she does annually, meeting with members of local communities statewide.

“We just finished our annual 95-county tour, visiting with all our county mayors, elected officials, our business owners, and citizens of this great state,” U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn says in a video uploaded to her YouTube page.

“That is what gives me hope, and that is what keeps me inspired as I work every day in D.C. to represent them,” she continues. “There’s been a message that’s come through loud and clear this year, and it is that this administration – the Biden administration – has a very different view of the future than our Tennesseans.”

She said the Biden administration’s agenda was higher taxes and inflation, and open borders.

Blackburn said that Tennesseans, on the other hand, want more freedom and more opportunity.

“Tennesseans want to make certain that we keep taxes low, that we get inflation down, that we build the wall, secure the border, and end drug trafficking – the fentanyl into our communities,” she says in the video, adding that it was an honor to represent the state and meet with members of each county.

Blackburn explained the mission of her tour, and what she learned in her meetings, with The Tennessee Star Wednesday.

“Each year, I visit with local leaders, business owners, farmers, and families in every single one of our 95 counties. One thing is clear – they do not want the socialist agenda that Joe Biden is selling. Inflation has reached a historic 40-year high and families are struggling to put food on the table,” Blackburn told The Star. “Tennesseans want less government control, lower taxes, a strong military, safe communities, and a secure southern border. It is an honor to represent the Volunteer State and fight back against the socialist radical left.”
