Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held a rally in Palm Beach earlier this week where he embraced the viral “Let’s Go Brandon” chants and called President Joe Biden the “Brandon administration.”

“You look at the Biden, the Brandon administration,” DeSantis said.

The viral chant began after an NBC Sports reporter interviewed NASCAR driver Brandon Brown after a race. Chants of “F*** Joe Biden” began to be audibly detected by the reporter and through the television broadcast. In an attempt to cover up the expletive-laced chant from the fans, the reporter said they were chanting for Brown.

DeSantis said he had no issue with the popularity of the chant.

“It is what it is,” DeSantis added. “First of all, they said way worse about Trump for four years. They’re chanting this.”

He continued by criticizing the legacy media outlets who, he says, have been dishonest in their reporting.

“This chant has taken on a life of its own,” DeSantis added, “because it exposes the dishonesty of these corporate reporters.”

DeSantis has been highly critical of the Biden administration going so far as to launch lawsuits against the federal government’s vaccine mandate.

“Just months ago Joe Biden was saying that it wouldn’t be appropriate or lawful for the federal government to mandate these COVID shots,” said DeSantis. “But now we have somehow gone from 15 days to slow the spread to 3 jabs to keep your job. The federal government is exceeding their power and it is important for us to take a stand because in Florida we believe these are choices based on individual circumstances.”

Similarly, DeSantis and Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced three class-action suits against the Biden administration over the crisis at the United States’ southern border. He also mobilized law enforcement officers to assist Texas and Arizona with processing and securing the border back in June.

“Since President Biden took office – which has been less than one year – the Border Patrol has released nearly a quarter million illegal aliens into the United States,” said DeSantis. “This executive order makes it clear that Florida resources will not be used to prop up the failed open border agenda enacted by this administration.”
