President-elect Donald Trump said on Monday that he would consider a pardon for New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, who was indicted in September.

“I think that he was treated pretty unfairly,” Trump said during a news conference at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump noted that he thought Adams might be indicted for something after he began speaking out about the migrant crisis under President Biden.

Adams was charged with federal bribery and campaign finance offenses. He has not resigned.
