A final poll conducted by Emerson College Polling revealing how likely voters in Ohio would vote in the 2024 U.S. Senate race shows businessman Bernie Moreno in the lead over challengers State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) and Secretary of State Frank LaRose.
The poll, conducted on March 17-18, shows Moreno with a 9-point lead over Dolan (38 percent-29 percent) and a 26-point lead over LaRose (38 percent-12 percent).

While 21 percent of voters said they remain undecided on which candidate to vote for, a majority of those undecided said they are leaning towards voting for Dolan.
A total of 51 percent of undecided voters are leaning towards Dolan while 30 percent are leaning towards Moreno and 19 percent are leaning toward LaRose.
“Moreno’s lead over Dolan, 38% to 29% is accompanied by 21% of undecided voters, who break more for Dolan, tightening the race to within the poll’s margin of error, 44% to 40%,” Spencer Kimball, executive director of Emerson College Polling, explained.
Moreno’s lead in Monday’s poll is significant as the businessman fell three points behind Dolan in a poll published last week by Emerson College Polling, as previously reported by The Ohio Star.
Moreno’s lead in Monday’s poll is also notable as the candidate was supported at a Dayton rally over the weekend by former President Donald Trump, who endorsed Moreno in December, calling him at the time “exactly the type of MAGA fighter that we need in the United States Senate.”
Moreno is also endorsed by 15 Republican U.S. senators, including the Buckeye State’s own JD Vance (R-OH).
Ohio’s primary election will take place on Tuesday, March 19.
Polls are open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The winner of Tuesday’s primary will run against incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), who was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006, in the November general election.
