Ohio U.S. Senator JD Vance (R-OH) will join candidate Bernie Moreno at six campaign events across the Buckeye State over the weekend leading up to Election Day on March 19.
On Sunday, Vance will join Moreno in Milford at 6:00 p.m. for an event.
Vance and Moreno will travel to Montgomery County, Ottawa, Toledo, and Parma for events on Monday, with the first beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the last beginning at 6:00 p.m.
On Election Day, Vance will join Moreno in Independence for an event at 8:00 a.m.
Moreno is facing State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose in the GOP primary. All three candidates are vying to unseat incumbent Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
The businessman is endorsed by 15 Republican U.S. senators and former President Donald Trump.
Trump endorsed Moreno in December 2023, calling him at the time “exactly the type of MAGA fighter that we need in the United States Senate.”
The former president will appear as a special guest at a rally in Dayton on Saturday in support of Moreno.
Saturday’s rally, hosted by Buckeye Values PAC, will be held at the Wright Bros. Aero base at the Dayton International Airport at 4:00 p.m. EST. Doors will open at noon.
Those interested in attending the rally must reserve tickets, which are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
A recent poll conducted by Emerson College Polling and The Hill showed Moreno three points behind Dolan. The businessman received 23 percent compared to the state senator’s 26 percent.
LaRose received 16 percent of the vote, while 32 percent of voters said they were undecided, according to the Wednesday poll.
The poll also showed that Brown continues to lead Dolan, Moreno, and LaRose in head-to-head matchups.
Early voting for Ohio’s March 19 primary election runs through Sunday.
Polls are open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
