Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) blasted the Biden administration in an X post chronicling recent high profile crimes committed by illegal aliens, which went viral on the social media site.
Blackburn said in the post:
“In the past few weeks, criminal illegal aliens have:
— murdered a nursing student in GA
— murdered a 2-year-old in MD
— murdered a 16-year-old in TX
— sexually assaulted a child in VA
— raped a 14-year-old at knifepoint in LA
Biden’s open border is to blame for these crimes.”

The story of Laken Riley, 26, a University of Georgia student who was murdered by an illegal alien while on a jog on campus, has become a national topic of conversation, even inspiring legislation in the Republican-led House of Representatives to curb illegal alien crime.
At President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Speech last week, Republicans wore white ribbons in honor of Riley.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, slammed Biden’s open border policies as a “crime against humanity.”
“Joe Biden has no remorse, no regret, no empathy, no compassion, and worst of all, he has no intention of stopping the deadly invasion that stole precious Laken’s beautiful American life,” Trump said. “What Joe Biden has done on our border is a crime against humanity, and the people of this nation, for which he will never be forgiven.”
In Maryland, Salvadoran illegal alien Nilson Trejo-Granados, 25, was arrested in connection with the murder of 2-year-old Jeremy Poou Caceres. Reports say a New Jersey judge had ordered Trejo-Granados’ removal from the United States in November of 2022.
Despite that order, he remained in the country even after he was arrested on March 21, 2023, and charged with theft. U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) issued an immigration detainer for Trejo-Granados at the Montgomery County Detention Center the very next day, but the jail refused to honor it, instead letting Trejo-Granados walk free.
In September of 2023, Trejo-Granados was again arrested for theft, again sent to the Montgomery County Detention Center and again released from the jail, despite a second ICE detainer being issued.
On February 26, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia confirmed that the man who raped a 14-year-old girl in January was Renzo Mendoza Montes, 32, an illegal alien from Venezuela.
Mendoza Montes was charged with Carnal Knowledge of a Child Without Force and Taking Indecent Liberties with a Minor, both felonies.
In Louisiana, an illegal alien from Honduras was arrested on February 28 for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl at knifepoint.
Angel Matias Castellanos-Orellana, 19, was on the run from police for for weeks before he was captured. He also allegedly stabbed another man during a robbery.
