Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday confirmed he is considering a handful of candidates to be his running mate in 2024.

Trump made the remarks during an appearance at a Fox News town hall in South Carolina, in which host Laura Ingraham listed the top contenders whom the audience preferred to be his running mate.

Among those were tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Carolina GOP Sen. Tim Scott, South Dakota GOP Gov. Kristi Noem, former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, and Florida GOP Rep. Byron Donalds.

“Are they all on your shortlist?” host Laura Ingraham asked, to which Trump responded “they are.”

“The VP choice has absolutely no impact. It’s whoever the president is,” Trump added. “You would like to get somebody that could help you from the voter standpoint and honestly, all of those people are good. They’re all good. They’re all solid.”

Trump’s remarks merely confirmed his consideration of the individuals whom Ingraham listed, but did not appear to preclude other unnamed contenders.

At present, Trump has yet to formally claim the Republican nomination and is still running against former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
