Conservative grassroots organization EZAZ’s Merissa Hamilton announced on Tuesday an eight-stop tour to register Arizonans for the 2024 election featuring Republican voter registration activist Scott Presler from January 23 through January 25. Presler told The Arizona Sun Times he is “excited” to return to Arizona, which he called a “must-win” for Republicans in November.
Hamilton shared news about the event to X, formerly Twitter, and included details about events in Phoenix, Sun City, Tempe, Maricopa, Tucson, Payson, Prescott Value, and Lake Havasu City.
Advertising Presler’s inclusion, Hamilton wrote that he “has helped flip counties nationwide with voter registration, and now he’s coming to Arizona to empower us to save our state.”

The EZAZ website adds that the Pie, Principles, and Policy event scheduled with Presler (pictured above) on January 23 in Phoenix can also be attended online.
In addition to registering voters, other events will teach conservative activists “the best practices to reach voters and successfully help them update their voter registration or register them for the first time.”
“We must mobilize now to help Independent voters update their party preference so they can be eligible to vote in the Presidential Preference election in March,” the organization wrote in its description of the event.
Presler told The Sun Times, “I’m so gosh darn excited to return to the great state 48. The pathway to the White House runs though Arizona — this state is a must-win,” when reached on Wednesday via text message.
He explained, “This tour is in partnership with Merissa Hamilton & EZAZ.”
Presler added, “Part of the reason why we’re doing this is to educate voters on the Presidential Preference Election.”
“You MUST be registered as a Republican in order to vote for a Republican in the PPE,” he said.
The EZAZ tour with Presler comes months after the number of voters registered independent in Arizona surpassed the number of Republicans and Democrats, meaning a plurality of voters will be unable to cast votes for Republican or Democratic candidates during the state’s primary elections.
Independent voters in Arizona can request a ballot for most primary elections, but are expressly forbidden from voting in the government-run Presidential Preference Election that determines presidential primary winners in the Grand Canyon State.
Last year, EZAZ announced a joint effort with AmericaPack, another grassroots organization in Arizona, to “flip Arizona solid red” in 2024.
Unveiling the partnership at a March 2023 event, Hamilton said she hoped the partnership would help build “infrastructure” so “when the election cycle comes around next time, not only will this room be filled, but it will be filled with new faces with people that have not been as involved.”
