The radical anti-Semitic protest movements that were responsible for a violent attack against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in Washington D.C. have been funded by far-left billionaire George Soros.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, the groups IfNotNow, Jewish Voice for Peace, and the Democratic Socialists of America were the culprits in the incident on Wednesday, where roughly 150 rioters blockaded the entrance to the DNC building out of protest of the party’s tentative support for Israel amidst its conflict with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

Capitol Police attempted to remove the protesters due to the presence of several members of Congress inside the building; six officers were injured and one rioter, 24-year-old Ruben Chamacho, was arrested after punching a female officer in the face. The Capitol Police issued a statement denouncing the protest as “not peaceful,” while the rioters issued their own statement claiming, with no evidence, that up to 90 of their members were injured.

“We have handled hundreds of peaceful protests, but last night’s group was not peaceful,” the Capitol Police statement bluntly read.

Two of the three groups behind the assault had received six-figure sums from Soros, with his Open Society Foundations giving over $650,000 to Jewish Voice for Peace since 2017. Open Society also gave $400,000 to IfNotNow in 2019 and 2021. The Democratic Socialists of America currently has five members serving in Congress as Democrats.

Open Society, like most groups on the progressive left, has demanded a “humanitarian ceasefire” in Gaza, claiming baselessly that Israel was carrying out an “indiscriminate” retaliation. Hamas attacked Israel first on the weekend of October 7th, carrying out a massive terror campaign that resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 Israelis.

“There is a growing chorus of credible voices warning of violations of international humanitarian law,” Open Society said in a statement. “Alleged war crimes, including forced displacement, and the risk of mass atrocities, including ethnic cleansing.”

The attack on the DNC marks the third violent riot carried out by anti-Israel protesters in a month, following an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on October 18th and a storming of the White House fence on November 4th, both of which resulted in injuries to law enforcement officers but minimal arrests.
