A Black Lives Matter group issued a statement in “solidarity with the Palestinian people” on social media Monday after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, slaughtering at least 900 people, including eleven Americans, and wounding more than 2,100. The Palestinian terrorists reportedly took more than 130 civilians hostage, and have threatened to murder them live online.

Hamas, an Islamic political and military organization that governs the Gaza Strip, does not recognize the right of Israel to exist. Since its inception in December of 1987, Hamas has waged what it calls a war of resistance against the Jewish State.

Black Lives Matter Grassroots is a network of more than two dozen BLM chapters in the United States where community organizers “work to transform local communities and the world,” according to the group’s website.

In their statement Monday, BLM Grassroots characterized Hamas’ sadistic savagery as “a desperate act of self defense.”

“As the world is faced with deep questions about self-determination, as we all desire and pray for a world of peace, we must stand unwaveringly on the side of the oppressed,” the statement began. “When a people have been the subject of decades of apartheid and unimaginable violence, their resistance must not be condemned, but understood as a desperate act of self-defense.”

“As black people continue the fight to end militarism and mass incarceration in our own communities, let us understand the resistance in Palestine as an attempt to tear down the fates of the world’s largest open air prison,” the statement continued, adding that “we see clear parallels between black and Palestinian people.”

“We too, understand what it means to be surveilled, dehumanized, property seized, families separated, our people criminalized and slaughtered with impunity, locked up in droves, and when we resist they call us terrorists.”

“We, too, dream of a world where our people may live freely on decolonized land. May the borders, checkpoints, prisons, police and watchlists that terrorize our communities crumble and may the world we build from their ashes honor those who have fallen in struggle.”

“Black Lives Matter Grassroots stands in solidarity with our Palestinian family who are currently resisting 57 years of settler colonialism and apartheid.”

“As black people continue the fight to end militarism and mass incarceration in our own communities, let us understand the resistance in Palestine as an attempt to tear down the fates of the world’s largest open air prison,” the statement continued, adding that “we see clear parallels between black and Palestinian people.”

The group stated that “for lasting peace to come, the entire apartheid system must be dismantled. The war on Palestinian people must cease. We call on the United States to immediately stop funding war and redirect the $4 billion in annual spending from the Israeli military to repair the damage caused by US-backed wars, military air strikes, coups, and destabilizing interventions against oppressed people around the world.”

The BLM movement began in the wake 2013 after “the collective pain and rage experienced by Black people living in a world grounded in white supremacist violence summoned us into the streets,” the group says on its website.

In a series of coordinated surprise attacks beginning at daybreak on Saturday, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and ruthlessly rampaged through communities along the Gaza border.

Throughout the brutal assault, the terrorists sadistically targeted women, children, and the elderly, raping, beheading, and burning victims alive.

Horrifying video has emerged online of armed terrorists on Paragliders entering a music festival near the Gaza border and slaughtering hundreds of young people. A Black Livers Matter Chapter in Chicago used an image of a paratrooper in a post on X to declare their support for “Palestine.”

Previous to this attack, Palestinians were not known for paragliding.

Tablet Magazine reporter spoke to some of the survivors of the massacre, including an individual who talked about seeing “bodies, mainly of young women, lying cold and mutilated. Of scantily clad corpses, many of whom appeared to have been shot at point-blank. Of cars, perforated by bullets or blown up by grenades.”

“Women have been raped at the area of the rave next to their friends bodies, dead bodies,” another survivor told the magazine.

“Several of these rape victims appear to have been later executed. Others were taken to Gaza. In photographs released online, you can see several paraded through the city’s streets, blood gushing from between their legs,” the report notes.

An Israeli search and rescue team reportedly recovered 260 bodies from the site.

BLM grassroots is among many left-wing organizations around the country and world who have issued statements of support for the terrorists and even held celebratory rallies In the wake of the barbaric attack.

At the behest of a representative of Pakistan, the United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday even held a moment of silence in memory of the “innocent lives” lost in the “occupied Palestinian territory and elsewhere.”

“On behalf of the IOC member states, we express our deep concerns over the loss of innocent lives in the occupied Palestinian territory and elsewhere,” said Ambassador Zaman Mehdi, the deputy permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN.  “Regrettably, this huge loss of lives and unabated violence is a sad reminder of more than seven decades of illegal foreign occupation, aggression and disrespect for the international law, including UNESCO resolutions.”

Mehdi’s statement neglected to honor the Israeli victims of the Hamas assault.
