The Tennessee Titans recently announced an outreach event for individuals and businesses interested in becoming part of the team’s new stadium project is set to take place on Thursday, October 19.
The event will be hosted by the Titans and the Tennessee Builders Alliance (TBA), which was approved by the Metro Sports Authority Board of Directors to construct the NFL team’s new $2.1 billion stadium in August.
The event will provide local subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and professional service providers the “opportunity to learn how they can get involved” with the new stadium project, according to a press release by the Titans.
The event will feature representatives from the Titans, TBA, and community partners of both organizations to provide businesses and individuals attending with timelines and other information on initial bid packages for the stadium project.
TBA is also planning on launching a website with information to assist businesses in becoming a part of the project on October 19.
“Our entire TBA team is looking forward to getting started on this transformational project, and that begins with engaging our local subcontractor and supplier community,” Principal-in-Charge of the Tennessee Builders Alliance John Gromos said in a statement. “This project presents a tremendous opportunity for local small businesses in our industry, and we want to ensure that the pathways to participation are available to everyone interested in working with us.”
The outreach event will be held at the West Club at Nissan Stadium from 5:30–7:30 p.m. The team is urging those interested in attending to RSVP by filling out a form on its website.
Groundbreaking for the new stadium is expected to occur in early-to-mid 2024, with an anticipated opening in 2027. Fans are currently able to purchase luxury suites, premier seats, and reserved PSLs for the new stadium.
Besides the Titans, the new stadium will host Tennessee State University games and other sporting, entertainment, and civic events. The Music City Host Committee is currently working on booking the Super Bowl, 2031 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and college football National Championship at the new stadium, as previously reported by The Tennessee Star.
