Bernie Moreno, who is running for an Ohio Senate seat, said Tuesday that another indictment against former President Donald Trump is completely “bogus” and called for House and Senate Republicans to take immediate action against President Joe Biden and his left-wing allies.

This follows a Georgia grand jury approving 10 indictments on Monday night in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ election probe, including Trump and 18 others.

The indictments come two and a half years after Willis began looking into Trump’s attempts to challenge Georgia’s results of the 2020 presidential election.

According to the Trump campaign, this indictment is being brought against him for election interference.

“They could have brought this 2 1/2 years ago, yet they chose to do this for election interference reasons in the middle of President Trump’s successful campaign. He is not only leading all Republicans by a lot but he is leading against Biden in almost every poll. President Trump represents the greatest threat to these Democrats’ political futures (and the greatest hope for America),” the Trump campaign said following the indictment.

Following the indictment, numerous Republican politicians spoke out about the injustice against Trump, who is running for president.

According to Moreno (pictured above), instead of just talking about how outraged they are, House and Senate Republicans need to immediately take action against this political corruption and persecution of Trump.

“The weaponization of the Justice System is the most urgent constitutional crisis of our time. No self-described conservative can stand idly by and pretend it’s not happening. I am calling on every elected Republican official and candidate for office to do whatever it takes to protect this country from the kind of political corruption and persecution that we have seen under the Biden Administration,” Moreno said.

Moreno said that there are five simple policy responses that all Republicans in the House and Senate should immediately get behind, including beginning impeachment proceedings immediately against President Joe Biden, beginning impeachment proceedings immediately against Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray, using the power of the purse to de-fund the witch hunts against former President Trump, committing to placing a hold on all of Biden’s judicial nominees to stop him from stacking the courts with more radicals, and publicly supporting U.S. Senator JD Vance‘s (R-OH) plan to block all of Biden’s Department of Justice nominees.

Moreno said that any Republican candidate for office who doesn’t fight back against this injustice doesn’t deserve the people’s vote.

“Any GOP candidate for office who is too weak to fight back against Democrats weaponizing the Justice System against President Trump doesn’t deserve your vote,” Moreno said.

According to Moreno, generations to come will look back at how America handles this “watershed moment” for the country and the Constitution, and Republicans need to take action now to ensure these outrageous political witch hunts can never happen again.

Trump has already been indicted on 37 counts for allegedly retaining classified government documents and obstruction of justice in the “boxes hoax,” even though Biden has also faced scrutiny for his alleged mishandling of classified materials. Last month, he entered a not-guilty plea to all of the accusations.

Separately, Trump faces 34 counts in New York for his alleged use of hush money in connection with porn star Stormy Daniels.
