Newly-elected chairman of the Georgia Republican Party (GAGOP) Josh McKoon recently announced four key appointments to the party’s executive committee.
McKoon (pictured above), elected during the GAGOP 2023 State Convention last month, announced the following appointments:
- Harrison Lance, Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party Foundation
- John White, Parliamentarian (reappointed)
- Vikki Consiglio, Finance Chair
- Alex Kaufman, General Counsel (reappointed)
McKoon called Lance “one of the brightest young leaders of our party.” He added, “As a serial entrepreneur and thought leader, I could not think of a better person to head our efforts to build our Foundation.”
Lance said he was “humbled” by his appointment.
“Thank you to Chairman McKoon and the Executive Committee for this opportunity to help build a strong Foundation to make sure the Georgia Republican Party is ready to lead the way in firing Joe Biden next year!” he said.
After reappointing White as GAGOP’s parliamentarian, McKoon stated, “John White has been a trusted member of the GAGOP Executive Committee for years. I am grateful for his willingness to continue to serve.”
In return, White stated, “I’m pleased to be appointed by Chairman McKoon to continue serving the Georgia Republican Party.”
McKoon commented on Consiglio’s appointment as GAGOP’s finance chair, saying, “Vikki has demonstrated for years her capacity as a fundraiser and commitment to the Georgia Republican Party. Her leadership and enthusiasm for our cause is infectious. She is going to be a key asset in our success over the next year.”
Following her appointment, Consiglio said in a statement, “It is an honor and a privilege to be appointed and approved to serve as your next State GOP Finance Chair. I look forward to working with Chairman McKoon in helping fulfill the vision he has for the future of the State GOP and helping bring continued financial stability to the state party.”
Regarding Kaufman’s reappointment as GAGOP’s general counsel, McKoon said, “Alex has been a trusted legal advisor and friend to Georgia Republicans. He and his firm are the right choice to navigate the complex legal landscape facing a growing organization like the Georgia Republican Party.”
“Thank you to Chairman McKoon for nominating me and the Executive Committee for voting to confirm me as the Party’s General Counsel,” Kaufman said. “I am honored and excited to continue in the position of General Counsel to the Georgia Republican Party as we have worked on many important issues, including election integrity and other issues paramount to the continued success of the GA GOP, as well as many new matters that our Chairman and State Committee has identified. Onward and upward!”
