Nashville’s Independence Day celebration will be headlined this year by country music artist Brad Paisley, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp announced in a press release.
The free event this year, Let Freedom Sing! Music City, July 4th, will present one of the country’s largest July 4th fireworks shows, which will be synchronized to live music from the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony.

Before the firework show, Paisley will be joined on the Jack Daniel’s Broadway Stage, located at First and Broadway, by a “multi-genre lineup,” including Nashville-based pop singer-songwriter Ben Rector, The War And Treaty, singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim, and rising Country artist Tiera Kennedy. Media personality Kelly Sutton will host the event.
The event will shift to Ascend Amphitheater for the live performance by the Nashville Symphony and the fireworks show after the concert.
The fireworks show is scheduled to run from 9:30-10:00 p.m. CST. The event will be open to the public from noon to 10:00 p.m.
There will also be an Amazon Family Fun Zone that will include inflatables and live music at the event.
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp expects the event to “provide tremendous national marketing for Music City,” as CMT will produce a one-hour show highlighting Paisley’s performance and the fireworks while CNN will have a crew reporting live from the event.
Last year, Nashville’s Fourth of July event generated $11 million in estimated direct visitor spending and hosted an estimated 250,000 to 300,000 attendees.
This year’s event, presented by Dr. Pepper, is the 20th annual celebration produced by Music City Inc. through the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp and the 39th in the city.
