Former President Trump leads Governor Ron DeSantis in Nevada by 32 points (53%-21%) in a multi-candidate poll of likely Nevada Republican voters.
Other declared candidates register with 3% or less.
Among voters who view both candidates positively, Trump leads DeSantis by 37%. Trump also holds double digit leads over voters who are most engaged and motivated to vote in the primary.
On policy matters, voters prefer Trump on improving the economy, a whopping 64% prefer him to DeSantis (11%.) They also say Trump is the better candidate to oppose far-left progressives than DeSantis (49% to 22%) and that they believe Trump cares about their needs and concerns more than the Florida governor. (46% to 17%.)
A plurality of likely voters (26%) say that liberal politicians in DC are their greatest concern with 24% saying border security is of greatest concern. Other issues include election security (11%) and the cost of living/taxes (9%) are their most important issue.
Voters say Trump has the best chance of beating Joe Biden with 39% saying so compared to 29% who say DeSantis has the better chance.
The poll is based on a National Research Inc. survey of 500 likely Nevada Republican Primary voters. The survey was conducted on May 30 – June 1, 2023. The margin of error for this survey is +/- 4.38% at the 95% confidence interval. The survey was commissioned by American Greatness.
