President Joe Biden issued a sweeping executive order last week that will embed woke critical race and gender ideologies into every agency of the federal government, an agenda Legal Insurrection’s Professor William Jacobson asserts amounts to “outright discrimination on the basis of race.”

Jacobson announced the launch of the Equal Protection Project Thursday night on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight.

Host Tucker Carlson introduced the segment a week after he noted the lack of media coverage of Biden’s radical equity order, which, he said, amounts to a situation whereby every American, except “straight white males,” will “qualify for one of Joe Biden’s many protective categories.”

“Well, under the term equity, Joe Biden has made racial discrimination, open racial discrimination, mandatory at all levels of the federal government,” Carlson asserted. “That’s illegal. It’s completely immoral. Most Americans oppose it, hate it, but very few lawyers have organized to stop it. Bill Jacobson is one who might actually do that.”

Jacobson, the organization’s president, said he is launching the Equal Protection Project because of the prevalence of “very troubling patterns in society.”

“Our highest ideal as a society is enshrined in the Constitution, the 14th Amendment, and federal, state and local law, which is you do not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity,” he explained. “And we are seeing that, unfortunately, under the concept of equity, that there is outright discrimination on the basis of race.”

Jacobson provided the example of the Providence School District in Rhode Island, which has created a teacher loan forgiveness program funded by the Rhode Island Foundation, “the largest charity in Rhode Island,” that only welcomes “non-white” applicants.

“So, they are openly discriminating against new white teachers with this program,” Jacobson explained. “And nobody seems to blink an eye at it.”

Legal Insurrection, however, filed a federal complaint against the policy.

“We are pursuing it, but nobody is challenging this,” he told Carlson. “The Governor is no place to be found. The Attorney General is no place to be found. This is a government program to discriminate and, unfortunately, that’s what has happened to the equity agenda. And we’re getting reports from around the country of these sort of problems.”

Jacobson is now organizing a framework with which to investigate, expose, and litigate, if necessary, occurrences of racism of any kind.

“And one of the things we’re doing – and you can sign up at our website if you’re a lawyer who wants to help in this effort, at equalprotect.org – a lawyers’ network of speakers,” he said. “Because this has to be a national effort. As you mentioned, the Biden administration’s behind it also. So that’s what we’re doing, and we ask people to come and visit and join us.”

On his show last week, Carlson referred to Biden’s radical racial and gender equity agenda as “the largest racial tracking bureaucracy since the fall of Nazi Germany,” and noted that “running all of this … will be former President Barack Obama, and he will be doing that, as always, through his longtime lackey and cutout Susan Rice.”

According to its website, the Equal Protection Project seeks “fair treatment of all persons without regard to race or ethnicity;” asserts there is “no ‘good’ form of racism;” and vows to “investigate wrongdoing, educate the public, and litigate when necessary.”
