Virginia GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin has a 56% approval rating among state voters, according to a recently released survey.

The Mason Dixon survey released Thursday shows Youngkin’s approval rating his highest since taking office last year.

Thirty-one percent of those surveyed disapproved of the governor’s job performance.

Youngkin won the Virginia gubernatorial election in 2021, running on a pro-parent and anti-tax platform.

He is the state’s first GOP-elected governor since 2013.

The survey was conducted by Mason & Dixon Polling Strategies from Jan. 18-21 among 625 registered Virginia voters. The survey’s margin of error is 4 percentage points.
