The agency oversees adherence to statutory authority by agencies, departments, and operations. Additionally, it is responsible for conducting investigations within agencies, departments, and programs.
The subcommittee is chaired by Representative Bill Huizenga (R-MI-04) and, including Rose, consists of the following Republican Representatives: Pete Sessions (R-TX-17), Ann Wagner (R-MO-02), Alex Mooney (R-WV-02), Dan Meuser (R-PA-09), and Andy Ogles (R-TN-05).
“It’s an honor to be selected to serve on these subcommittees and as Vice-Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations,” Congressman Rose said in a statement. “Tennesseans can rest assured that the days of no checks and balances on the Biden Administration are over, thanks to the new Republican majority on the Financial Services Committee.”
Rose was also selected to serve on the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy and the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Inclusion.
“I congratulate all of our Republican members on their subcommittee assignments for the 118th Congress,” House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry (R-NC-10) said in a statement. “With such a competent and dynamic team, Committee Republicans are ready to hit the ground running with our oversight, opportunity, and innovation agenda.”
“As we work to establish clear rules of the road for the evolving digital asset ecosystem, conduct rigorous oversight of the Biden Administration, enhance capital formation opportunities, and end the politicization of our financial system, their expertise and experience will be invaluable,” McHenry added.
