‘Zuck Bucks’ 2.0: Zuckerberg Reportedly Funding Group that Pushes Money into Local Elections

Biz Pac Review

Remember when Mark Zuckerberg and his wife funneled $419 million in “Zuck Bucks” to local election officials across the states in 2020 to ostensibly help them better handle the challenges of putting together an election during a pandemic?

Some states have since banned “Zuck Bucks.”

But for those states that didn’t ban them, trouble may be on the horizon, as something similar is happening again — this time via the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, an ostensibly nonpartisan alliance that’s been offering grants to local election officials.

Except it appears at first glance that there’s nothing nonpartisan about the alliance. After all, the alliance is headed by the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), a decidedly left-wing nonprofit.

“The organization pushes for left-of-center voting policies and election administration. It has a wide reach into local elections offices across the nation and is funded by many left-of-center funding organizations such as the Skoll Foundation, the Democracy Fund, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund,” according to Influence Watch.

A Georgia Democrat who was recruited to run for state office in a rural district revealed on Tuesday that the state party had specific criteria for the selection of its delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Zibluck ultimately received less than 20 percent of the vote.

When I was asked if I wanted to see the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band play a show on their Farewell Tour, naturally, I wanted to attend. They have long been a favorite of my husband, and I am of an age where I truly appreciate their music. The NGDB was formed in Long Beach, California, in 1966. They toured extensively as an Americana band from 1978-1983.

Commentary: Trump Expanded His Base Because He Kept it Real

Nov 13, 20247 min read
There are a lot of post-mortems on the election at the moment. Many who predicted a Kamala Harris victory are now trying to explain how Donald Trump was elected. Their ability to analyze the data ex ante was clearly flawed, but humility and objectivity have not been journalistic virtues for a long time.
