Professor: Astrophysics is Racist

Jonathan Turley

Professor Natalie Gosnell has declared that astrophysics is a racist field. That itself is not unique. We have discussed how professors like Rhode Island professor Erik Loomis have declared math, statistics, and technology as “inherently racist.” However, Gosnell’s reason is that academia continues to focus on “individualism” and “exceptionalism.”

The Colorado College blog reported:

“As an astrophysicist, I’m a product of institutions that are steeped in systemic racism and white supremacy…The [tenets] of white supremacy that show up [in physics] of individualism and exceptionalism and perfectionism… it’s either-or thinking, and there’s…no subtlety, there’s no gray area.”

Virginia Legislation Could Mean Tougher Sentences for ‘Swatting’ Attacks as Congressmen Targeted

Jan 7, 20253 min read
Virginia House Delegate Jason Ballard (R-Pearisburg) introduced legislation last Wednesday that could allow state law enforcement to apply an existing law against those who engage in "swatting," a slang term for making a false police report to compel an intense police response, typically involving a SWAT team, to a specific address. House Bill 1583 would amend and reenact the portion of Virginia code specifying bomb threats are a Class 5 felony to include threats, whether real or false, to "discharge a firearm within or at" any location where it is already illegal to call a bomb threat. It also would change the law to make such threats a Class 1 misdemeanor for offenders under 18.

Commentary: Joe Biden Adds to His Shameful Legacy

Jan 7, 20257 min read
We watched as Joe Biden (and his handlers) continued to dishonor the Office of the Presidency as he finally exits the political stage in little more than two weeks. Last week, in a clearly partisan effort, he cheapened the prestige of the nation’s second highest civilian honor, the Presidential Citizens Award, awarding it to J6 Committee chair and vice chair Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney who were complicit in deleting records before the GOP retook control of the House of Representatives in 2022. But on Saturday, he outdid himself with many of his selections for the Presidential Medal of Freedom, our nation’s highest civilian honor.

Consumers Are Right to Think Biden’s Economy Is in Bad Shape, Experts Say

Jan 7, 20257 min read
Consumers are right to be dissatisfied with the current state of the economy despite claims of a booming economy from U.S. officials and the media, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Consumer sentiment, meaning Americans perception of the economy, is expected to improve in December following a mid-month reading of 69.7 index points, which is far from the high under Biden of 88.3 in April 2021 and even further from the 90 to 100 range that was common during the Trump presidency, according to the University of Michigan’s Survey of Consumers. Politicians and the media have insisted that consumers are wrong to be unenthusiastic about the state of the economy, but experts told the DCNF that consumer perceptions are more in line with the true state of the country.
