Susan B. Anthony (SBA) List, one of the country’s top pro-life organizations, announced their endorsement Wednesday of Tennessee Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger (R-TN-01) for re-election.
Congresswoman Harshbarger was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Tennessee’s 1st congressional district in the 2020 general election. She is now seeking a second term in Congress. Harshbarger is facing Democrat candidate Cameron Parsons in this year’s general election.
On Twitter, SBA List announced its endorsement of Harshbarger, writing in a post, “In her first term in Congress, @DHarshbargerTN1 has used her voice and vote to stand up for the unborn and women. We’re proud to endorse her for re-election and look forward to working together to save lives!”

Congresswoman Harshbarger reacted to SBA List’s endorsement, tweeting, “I am proud to receive @sbaprolife’s endorsement for the 2022 election. As a mother, grandmother, and pharmacist, I know firsthand how precious each and every life is. Fighting for the unborn is a duty I do not take lightly.”

Harshbarger boasts an A+ rating on the SBA List National Pro-Life Scorecard. The purpose of the organization’s scorecard is to “hold members accountable by tracking their voting records.” The organization notes that “A+” ratings are awarded to “members who not only earn a 100% pro-life record, but who go even further by leading on the issue.”
In regards to Harshbarger’s A+ rating, SBA List writes on its website, “Congresswoman Harshbarger has stood up against the pro-abortion agenda of the Biden-Harris administration and Pelosi Democrats who are actively working to expand abortion access and abortion funding. Rep. Harshbarger has voted consistently to defend the lives of the unborn and infants. This includes stopping hard-earned tax dollars from paying for abortion, whether domestically or internationally, and protecting health care provider rights for those who refuse to engage in brutal abortions.”
Early voting in Tennessee runs from October 19 through November 3 with the deadline of requesting a mail-in ballot on November 1. Mail-in ballots must be returned on voting day, November 8.
