Joe Biden attempted to lure voters with the bait of more abortions by promising to enshrine Roe v. Wade into federal law if Democrats win the midterm elections and keep control of Congress.
“Your right to choose rests with you,” Biden said in a speech Tuesday hosted by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in Washington, DC, CNBC reported.
“If you do your part and vote, Democratic leaders of Congress, I promise you, we’ll do our part,” he continued. “I’ll do my part. And with your support, I’ll sign a law codifying Roe in January.”
According to the report:
The president vowed if more Democratic senators are elected and his party keeps the House in the upcoming midterm elections, the first legislation he will send would enshrine abortion rights protections. Biden aims to sign the bill into law close to the 50th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, which is Jan. 22 of next year.
Connecticut Republican U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy said in a statement Biden “is trying to blackmail voters into re-electing Dick Blumenthal,” her opponent, an avid supporter of abortion rights at any time during pregnancy.
Blumenthal is the primary sponsor of the radical abortion legislation Democrats have termed the Women’s Health Protection Act.
“If codifying Roe v. Wade is a priority for them, they could do it today while they control the White House and Congress,” the pro-life Levy said. “They won’t because, just like they do when it comes to emptying our Strategic Petroleum Reserve or begging OPEC+ to delay their oil production decisions, Biden and Blumenthal do not care about American families. The only thing that matters to them is tricking enough voters so they can win the election. We won’t be fooled again.”
CatholicVote President Brian Burch called Biden’s remarks another sign of the “unprecedented abortion extremism pursued by the nation’s second Catholic President.”
“We need Church leaders to step up and make clear that no Catholic can support candidates or policies that would make America one of the most extreme abortion nations in the world.” @BrianBurchCV @LifeNewsHQ https://t.co/QeZzeuXe50

“While Americans struggle with record inflation, the President of the United States has nothing to offer but a pledge to expand the right to violently destroy innocent unborn children – up until birth and for any reason,” Burch said. “We need Church leaders to step up and make clear that no Catholic can support candidates or policies that would make America one of the most extreme abortion nations in the world.”
CatholicVote said their persistent calls upon the Biden DOJ to address pro-abortion terrorism have been met with silence.
“[A]fter months of ignoring blatant pro-abortion terrorism, our flailing economy and record inflation, Biden’s team is instead focusing precious time, energy and resources to further jeopardize the lives and well-being of countless unborn children and their mothers,” the organization stated.
Republicans 2022: A better world for your children.
Democrats 2022: A world without children.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also accused Biden of being “deeply out of touch with the concerns of families.”
“First, Americans do not want Biden and Democrats’ extreme, taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand agenda,” McDaniel said. “Second, Democrats can’t distract from the Biden pay cut, the higher prices, and the tax increases they have inflicted on voters. Republicans will win in November because we are focused on the issues voters care about most.”
CBS News reported on the Democrats’ issue of abortion:
We’ve said for a while much of this contest is about who can define what the election is about. The Democratic campaigns want it to be about abortion, and for so many voters it already is, but over the last month, Democrats haven’t grown the number of voters who see abortion as very important.
The percentage who say abortion is very important is actually a little lower now than last month.
Other pro-life leaders commented on Biden’s remarks.
Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, called Biden’s promise to enshrine Roe into federal law a “desperate attempt to sway voters by pushing painful abortions.”
Mancini observed 90 percent of Americans “reject Biden’s view that abortion should be legal up until birth for any reason – paid for by taxpayers,” according to a recent Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.
“Our country is facing significant challenges and looking for positive solutions, not more violence and death,” she added. “It is time for Americans to hold pro-abortion politicians accountable.”
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said Biden “is making clear today that if Democrats control Congress in 2023, they will destroy the filibuster and pass their Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act to mandate abortion on demand in all 50 states.”
“We encourage pro-life Republicans to keep going on offense to expose this extremist position,” she said.
Dannenfelser observed that “clear majorities of Americans – including women, independents and rank-and-file Democratic voters – support commonsense limits on abortion, including a minimum federal standard to stop brutal late-term abortions when unborn babies feel pain.”
A Knights of Columbus/Marist Poll published in January found 71 percent of Americans support restrictions on abortion, including 49 percent of Democrats, 93 percent of Republicans, and 70 percent of Independents.

The federal government has no authority in the realm of abortion rights or health care. That is purely a State issue.
Progressive democrats are sick and twisted and politicize everything. The SCOTUS didn’t outlaw abortions; they merely left the decision up to the individual states. Well spun libtards.
I find it very hard to understand the big argument in this Roe versus Wade thing. If a woman’s health is at risk, the child is terribly deformed, rape or incest a woman should be entitled to make that decision for abortion. Some teenage girl who likes to play in the back seat of a car or can’t keep both feet on the ground or some whore or slut who gets knocked up should have to pay for their own abortion. And what ever became of birth control? If they want to have sex with their friends but don’t have an enemy in the world what’s wrong with buying birth control pills. Since I’m a male and can’t recall ever getting pregnant I feel the issue should be put on a ballet and voted on by women only.
