In an exclusive interview with The Star News Network, a fellow White House staffer who worked together with the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack’s star witness Cassidy Hutchinson shortly after the former Trump aide testified June 28 before the panel hand-selected by California Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“She’s a total phony and a social climber, and she did this to basically get famous,” said Joanna Miller, who now works for Save America, a political action committee founded by President Donald J. Trump to support election integrity.
Miller took to Truth Social with some of her reactions.
“Cassidy Hutchinson is a total fake RINO conservative who never should have been offered a role in Trump’s White House after begging to be close to President Trump. Now a celebrity of the Hoax Committee. NEXT! Boring!
“Maybe Cassidy should apply for another RINO spot on The View next to Alyssa Farah!” Miller wrote, a short time in to Hutchinson’s testimony on Tuesday.
A short time later, Miller wrote, “Lyin’ Cassidy Hutchinson was literally in the motorcade with all of President Trump’s senior advisors for the rally held on January 6th.”
“HA! Cassidy said the rally wasn’t more full because they weren’t letting MORE people in with weapons? So, Cassidy knows more about security than Secret Service? Is she delusional?” she wrote.
Hutchinson spun tale after tale to the committee about the president, many of them based on her eavesdropping on conversations and gossip.
- Trump shattered a plate against the wall after hearing that his Attorney General William P. Barr told the Associated Press there was no significant fraud in the 2020 election.
- Trump intended for armed protesters to march on the Capitol.
- White House lawyers asked her to personally stop Trump from going to the Capitol after his Jan. 6, 2021 speech.
- When Secret Service agents refused to drive Trump to the Capitol, he attempted to grab the steering wheel to turn the vehicle around.
Each tale was tempered by Hutchinson’s expressions of fear for the Republic and her personal safety.
The former president also went to Truth Social for his take:
“I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and ‘leaker’), and when she requested to go with certain others of the team to Florida after my having served a full term in office, I personally turned her request down. Why did she want to go with us if she felt we were so terrible? I understand that she was very upset and angry that I didn’t want her to go, or be a member of the team. She is bad news!”
Miller said she remembered Hutchinson, then 24, as someone who was enthusiastic about the president’s Jan. 6, 2021 rally at the Ellipse – not the worried and concerned staffer she portrayed to the committee.
“Basically, on Jan. 6, she comes out of this motorcade, dancing around, smiling, laughing,” she said.
“Then, the second everything hits the fan with this Jan. 6 committee, decides that she’s this victim and she was terrified and is disclosing all these horrible, false things about behind the scenes with the president and stuff like that, about his lunch,” she said. “Suddenly, after the fact, is now – she’s suddenly becoming a Jan. 6 committee celebrity.”
Although she presented herself as a consequential staffer, Miller said Hutchinson was, in fact, a glorified gofer.
“OK, she went from a Hill intern to a White House intern, and she became a staff assistant,” she said.
“She was made legislative affairs liaison, and she demanded that the whole legislative affairs team in the White House report to her before going to Mark Meadows,” she said. Meadows was then-White House chief of staff.
“The whole White House was pissed about it, and they didn’t take her seriously,” she said.
Miller said that, despite her position on paper, Hutchinson did little more than she did on Capitol Hill.
“She basically, she didn’t do any serious policy work. What she did was do things like delivering signed POTUS hats to Capitol Hill or get Diet Cokes to the Oval Office and get Mark Meadows’ lunch,” she said.
“I could tell she was a total social climber. All she cared about was getting in the pictures and stuff like that,” she said. “She begged to be at Mar-a-Lago, and she was pissed that she didn’t get down.”
Miller said in the end that Hutchinson was wrong to participate in the Jan. 6 committee.
“I think she was a phony – again, I don’t know her ideology personally – but you can tell,” she said.
“Anybody that complies with the Jan. 6 committee and calls this an insurrection – I mean, they’re going along with the hoax,” she said.
“It’s pathetic.”
