A new poll by the Trafalgar Group shows first-time candidate Blake Masters with a lead over his two main primary opponents, though many Arizonans remain undecided.
According to the poll of 1077 likely Republican primary voters, which was conducted between June 7 and June 9, Blake Masters is leading Attorney General Mark Brnovich by more than five points.
Masters is polling at 28.9 percent, while Brnovich is polling at 23.7 percent. In third place is Jim Lamon, at 17.2 percent.
The poll has a margin of error of 2.9 percent, and was conducted with 95 percent confidence.
Two other candidates are polling at less than five percent, and the poll says that 21.8 percent of respondents remain undecided.
According to the poll’s demographic breakdown, 47.2 percent of the respondents were over the age of 65, while 37 percent were between ages 45 and 64.
Masters, who won the coveted endorsement of former President Donald Trump, continues to run on a platform that is heavily focused on immigration and closed borders.
“We’re being invaded. It’s time to militarize the border,” Masters said last week on Twitter, attacking an accompanying advertisement for his campaign.

Brnovich is running on his record of suing the Biden administration in his capacity as attorney general.
The front page of his website boasts that he has sued the Biden administration 24 times, and says that he has taken seven “actions defending the border since Biden took office.”
He has been endorsed by television and radio personalities Sean Hannity and Mark Levin. Those endorsements are also prominently featured on his website.
Lamon recently responded to an attack ad by the Club for Growth, which was released on Masters’ behalf.
It claimed that Lamon was involved in shady business deals, and that his corporations donated money to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA-12).
“Neither me nor my company at any time, have given a dime to Pelosi or any Democrat,” Lamon said in a lengthy video response. “Nor any of the PACs that this ad, so-called, said were given to Democrats. That’s a lie.”
He also attacked the Club for Growth.
“I didn’t know how PRO-CHINA and how open borders these guys were – total globalists. We got into it in the meeting,” he said. “I held my ground on being pro-American worker, business and for secure borders. They met with Masters afterward and obviously, he told them whatever they wanted to hear, and not only endorsed him – but now are spending millions of dollars attacking our campaign.”
Arizona’s primary elections will be held on August 2.
