U.S. Senate candidate Mike Gibbons, who is running in a crowded GOP primary field, launched a new “Women for Gibbons” coalition.

According to information provided exclusively to The Ohio Star, the group is led by Caitlin Shea, the candidate’s daughter, and co-chaired by Lisa and Lucy Stickan.

“Mike Gibbons is a successful businessman, a leader in his community and, more than anything, a man who has dedicated his life to his family,” Shea stated in a video, touting her father’s history. “I hope you’ll join our Women for Mike Gibbons coalition, and vote for my dad on Election Day. I know he’ll make Ohio proud.”

The initial list of members of the coalition includes more than 50 names and will likely grow as the May 3 primary draws closer.

“Mike is the most authentic person running for office in Ohio. He cares deeply about small business leaders, is a family man, and is only in this race to save America. I have full confidence in Mike Gibbons and it is why I encourage everyone to vote for him on May 3rd and to join this coalition,” added Brianna Phlipot, a member of the group and owner of the Looking Glass Salon.

In addition to the coalition, U.S. Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL-03) recently endorsed Gibbons. Cammack called the businessman “a true conservative voice that will best serve Ohioans in the U.S. Senate.”

In the final weeks of the Republican primary, candidates are seeking to influence any remaining undecided voters, as early voting for the race has already started.

Polls have consistently shown Gibbons as one of the three leaders in the contest, alongside JD Vance and Josh Mandel.

Ultimately, the winner of the contest will likely face Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH-13), the presumptive Democratic nominee.
