A “woke” Connecticut business group that gives grants only to businesses run by women will receive a significant boost from Bank of America.
The Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) will receive $100,000 from the banking giant for its “Equity Match Grant Program,” according to a Monday report.
“The Equity Match Grant Program is designed to help women-owned businesses grow! Grants between $2,500 and $10,000 will be awarded for clearly defined projects that will have a measurable impact on the business, its growth and profitability,” WBDC’s website explains. The grant funds cannot be used towards operating expenses, payroll, or real estate improvements.”
WBDC explained how it will use the contribution.
“This [Bank of America] grant is going to help us with the next few rounds of operational support that we need to help people with that application process,” WBDC founder and Chief Executive Officer Fran Pastore reportedly said. “It’s absolutely critical that we do that piece of this to make sure that these grants are equitable. Some people need more help than others.”
Bank of America followed JPMorgan Chase, which in January pledged $300,000 to the cause.
Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz (D), Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons (D) and State Senator Patricia Billie Miller (D-Stamford) were all in attendance when the Monday announcement was made at a press conference in Stamford.
Bank of America has recently been lambasted for its wokeness.
Last year, it was revealed that the bank adopted a 16-day equity training, wherein it taught its employees that toddlers were racist, saying that white toddlers “develop racial biases by ages 3 to 5” and that they “should be actively taught to recognize and reject the ‘smog’ of white privilege.”
That training also says that all white people, regardless of wealth, are racists.
It claims that “regardless of one’s socioeconomic class background or other disadvantages,” white people are “living a life with white-skin privileges.”
The bank joins other monstrous corporations – formerly enemies of the political Left – in teaching the far-left principles of Critical Race Theory.
