The Electrolux company is hosting a job fair in Springfield, Tennessee on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a statement emailed to The Tennessee Star.
The company listed multiple incentives for joining the appliance maker, including starting pay up to $21 an hour, up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus, full benefits on day one, and room to advance within the company, the statement said. The event will be held at 866 Bill Jones Industrial Drive in Springfield.
The company noted they are “modernizing our 48-year-old plant by investing more than $250 million to expand production and manufacture amazing new cooking products.”
Eloise Hale, a member of Electrolux, told The Star the company is seeking to hire workers to fill 230 positions, which include “maintenance technicians, fabrication and finish technicians, team leaders and material handlers.” Hale added that for team leads, hourly pay will be $24.50.
Electrolux has been a “proud member of the community for 48 years,” and the statement said their Frigidaire ranges are more popular than ever. “The new factory’s automation offers our team members highly-skilled, better paying jobs,” and members of the team enjoy “an exciting, fast-paced atmosphere with competitive pay and industry leading benefits effective the first day of employment.”
The statement offered a link to see current open positions at the company’s location in Middle Tennessee north of Nashville.
According to the Electrolux corporate website, the company was founded in 1919 in Stockholm, Sweden by entrepreneur Axel Wenner-Gren. The company’s brands include AEG in Europe and in the United States, Frigidaire. The 2020 annual report boasts “approximately 60 million household products in approximately 120 markets every year.”
The company adds that in 2020, Electrolux generated sales of $14 billion and employ 48,000 people around the world.
