Former Nashville mayoral candidate Dr. Carol Swain announced Wednesday afternoon she will be a guest on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast on Thursday for a Thanksgiving special.
Swain wrote on Twitter, “Join us tomorrow! I will be the opening guest on Steve Bannon’s Thanksgiving Special. It will be powerful and inspirational. War Room Pandemic airs from 10:00 am-noon and 5:00-6:00, pm, ET.”

Swain lost the Nashville mayor general special election on May 24, 2018 to current Mayor John Cooper, Ballotpedia notes.
According to her website, Swain “is passionate about empowering others to confidently raise their voices in the public square. Her clarion call is for We the People to stand up and Be the People who change our nation and world.”
She is a public speaker, entrepreneur, author, and commentator. Dr. Swain is the founder of Be the People Project (BTPP), a nonprofit founded in 2011, that educates Americans about conservative values and principles. Dr. Swain lives in Tennessee and has served on the Tennessee Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the 1776 Commission.
As reported by The Tennessee Star, Swain is the author or editor of eleven books, with her most recent books include Black Eye for America: How Critical Race Theory is Burning Down the House (Co-authored with Dr. Chris Schorr, 2021) and Countercultural Living: What Jesus Has to Say about Life, Marriage, Race, Gender, and Materialism (2021).
