Former President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he will hold a rally in Phoenix, Arizona to highlight election security efforts.
Trump is hosting the rally, dubbed “Rally to Protect Our Elections,” in connection with Turning Point USA — the group’s founder Charlie Kirk announced in a tweet.
“President Trump is coming to Arizona for his first post-presidency rally in America’s most important swing state
@TrumpStudents and I are honored to host the President July 24th in Phoenix for the Rally to Protect Our Elections,” Kirk said.

Phoenix is located in Maricopa County — an area that has drawn national attention since the November 2020 election. Currently, Republicans in the state Senate are conducting a forensic audit of the ballots cast in the population center of the state. Results are expected in the coming weeks.
“Arizona Republican State Senators are engendering such tremendous respect, even adoration, for the great job they are doing on the Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election Scam. Our Country is watching as early public reports are indicating a disaster, far greater than anyone had thought possible, for Arizona voters,” Trump said in a statement of the group’s efforts.
This will be the third rally from Trump since leaving office earlier this year. In Ohio, Trump campaigned with Mike Carey, a congressional candidate running to replace Representative Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH-16), who voted to impeach Trump. In Florida, the former president held a rally on the eve of Independence Day to celebrate the country.
Also key to Trump’s visit is the fact that Arizona is proving itself to be a central battle-ground state for presidential elections. After winning the state in 2016, Trump narrowly lost to President Joe Biden in 2020. For the first time in decades, the two U.S. Senate seats are filled by Democrats.
