Memphis-area Democrat Representative Steve Cohen appeared on MSNBC’s “Live With Alex Witt” Sunday to react to the latest, if unusual, developments with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen (no relation) and Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing ‘Trump-Russia Collusion’ investigation.
The five-term congressman has a well-established record of vitriolic statements aimed at conservative and Rebublicans, but Cohen managed to “find a new gear” when President Trump surprised the world with his election victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Since then, the avowed progressive has become uncreasingly unhinged as his efforts to block, obstruct, resist, and even oust President Trump or his policy agenda have failed.
Regarding new questions about Michael Cohen’s credibility, Alex Witt asked if the fact that Cohen has been exposed as “wiretapping” his clients impairs his belivability on the stand, “Or do you believe it is the President who loses in the credibility department?”
Rep Cohen, who is a member of the House Judiciary Committee answered, “I think that Michael Cohen, Rudy Giuliani and Donald Trump have about the same amount of credibility. They all use, at best, situational ethics – but probably more likely they just lie constantly, and they’re all three pathological liars.” (emphasis added)
Surprised at the extremity of the statement, Witt said, “Okay. Well, that’s saying something. ”
She continued, “Now I want to play for you what Rudy Guiliani said about Michael Cohen here from an interview earlier.”
RUDY GUILIANI: …And the man is a pathological manipulator; liar. I didn’t know that. I didn’t know him well… [edit] I would have been surprised back then, but now that I know all this about him, it seems to me his default position is to lie. He’s a bad liar. [edit]”
Witt said, “Well it looks like you took some of the words from Guiliani’s mouth right there in reference to Cohen, but a few weeks ago, it was a different tune. Guiliani and the President were singing Michael Cohen’s praises, they were saying what a great guy he was. What happened?”
After a short pause, Cohen responded:
Well, I think things changed; the situation changed and they decided to go on the attack and the same thing might have happened with Michael Cohen – he was willing to ‘take a bullet’ for Donald Trump and he was testifying nothing happened. Now he’s in a different situation.
I think Robert Mueller will use his testimony if he finds it credible. Robert Mueller has had other people who have turned and he knows how to acertain with a good degree of certainty whether the person is being truthful to him and he’s not going to put anybody on the stand or put him in his report if he doesn’t think they are being truthful.
Michael Cohen may have – especially here on Sunday – has a ‘come to Jesus’ moment and decided to seek the truth and be an American hero. You don’t know, but he has had lying problems in the past. As far as Guiliani, they say ‘you can’t con a conman’ and Rudy Guiliani should have known what Michael Cohen was because they’re ‘birds of a feather.’

Memphis Jewish Democrat Congressman Steve Cohen the article(s) should read.
Cohen looks like an alcoholic and is as annoying as a mosquito. He hasn’t enough sense to even dream up these accusations, which leads me to believe he’s being fed this stupidity from the demoncratic party. And speaking of demons, we are seeing how desperate they are and how Trump has exposed their once secret agenda. Evil has lost its composure and is revealing itsself in uncontrollable convulsions. Thanks to divine intervention in the presidential election, morality still stands a chance.
“Memphis Democrat Steve Cohen Increasingly Unhinged”? The only further step would be that Cohen being committed to forced institutionalization.
So says the son of Satan himself. Cohen, crawl back under the rock you slithered out from. Yours sins show in your face.
