Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky is leaving her post in June.
Walensky’s departure was announced by President Biden, according to several news reports.
Walensky has led the agency for roughly two-and-a-half years and has led the country through a series of major health matters including the COVID-19 pandemic. The administration is set to end the public health emergency on the pandemic next week.
