Former President Donald Trump weighed in on Wednesday on the difficulty and issues facing the New York City mayor Democratic primary.
“Just like in the 2020 Presidential Election, it was announced overnight in New York City that vast irregularities and mistakes were made and that Eric Adams, despite an almost insurmountable lead, may not win the race,” Trump said in a statement while highlighting the issues plaguing the race.
The main cause for concern was due to the fact that the Board of Elections included 135,000 test ballots in the results tally.
The added ballots caused the results to be greatly skewed. Eric Abrams, the leading candidate, witnessed his lead greatly shrink.
“The fact is, based on what has happened, nobody will ever know who really won,” Trump added.
Trump also compared the demonstrated issues to many of the problems that plagued the November 2020 election.
“The Presidential Race was a Scam and a Hoax with numbers and results being found that are massive, shocking, and determinative. Watch the mess you are about to see in New York City, it will go on forever,” he said.
Across the country, issues with the election process and absentee ballots have begun to appear.
Reporting from The Georgia Star News led an elections official from Fulton County, Georgia to admit that “some procedural paperwork may have been misplaced.” The official was referring to the fact that the county has yet to produce the chain of custody documents for absentee ballots — more than eight months after the election.
“They should close the books and do it all over again, the old-fashioned way, when we had results that were accurate and meaningful,” Trump recommended of the efforts in New York City.
