Former President Donald Trump on Thursday pledged to eliminate taxes on overtime wages if he is elected back to the White House in November.

Trump has previously promised to eliminate taxes on tips, and social security benefits. All three proposals appear to be part of an effort to woo working-class and senior voters, groups that could be crucial in November’s election.

“Today, I’m also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts, we will end all taxes on overtime,” Trump told his supporters in Tuscon, Arizona. “The people who work overtime are among the hardest working citizens in our country. And for too long, no one in Washington has been looking out for them.

“They are police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers and machine operators,” he continued. “It’s time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break, and that’s what we’re doing, because I think it’s a good one. I think it’s going to be great for the country.”

Trump also claimed that much of the missile defense system that he proposed earlier this year will be built in Arizona.

“Ronald Reagan wanted to do it many years ago, but we didn’t,” Trump said. “Honestly, we were lucky. We didn’t because we didn’t have the technology we do now. You see in Israel how it works, and we’re going to have the biggest and the best … and a lot of it’s going to be made in a place called Arizona. Is that okay?”

The question was met with applause from the audience. The defense system will be like Israel’s Iron Dome, which protects Israel against short range rockets by intercepting them.
