Former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump (2017-2021) advocated this Thursday for imposing the death penalty for sex traffickers of minors and women and for large drug traffickers.

The New York tycoon said from a rally in  Arizona, on the border with Mexico, that, if he wins the elections on November 5, harsher sentences will be imposed against “illegal foreign criminals.”

According to local media, “this includes a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years for anyone guilty of human trafficking, a guaranteed life sentence for anyone guilty of child trafficking, and the death penalty for anyone guilty of sex trafficking of children or women,” said the businessman.

Trump also announced his intention to implement the death penalty for large drug traffickers.

“We will also impose the death penalty for anyone who kills our police officers, sheriffs, border agents or law enforcement officers. There will be the death penalty with a speedier trial, not one that lasts 15 years and exhausts everyone,” added the candidate for the White House.

If he defeats Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in November, Trump reiterated that the United States will be “great again.”

“We will free our country from illegal aliens, drug dealers, thieves, murderers, gang members and child (sexual) predators. We will make America safe again for our citizens and we will make it bigger, stronger, better and more beautiful than ever before,” he concluded, at an event where he was protected by bulletproof glass.
