The pro-DeSantis Never Back Down super PAC is reportedly suspending its voter canvassing in four states to focus resources in early-voting states.

The PAC supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign is pausing its door-knocking activities in Nevada, California, Texas and North Carolina, according to The Epoch Times on Saturday.

The PAC plans to refocus its efforts on Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, all states with early presidential nominating events.

“We want to reinvest in the first three, we see real opportunities,” PAC spokeswoman Erin Perrine said, referring to Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

“The first three are going to set the conditions for the March states,” she also said, as California, North Carolina and Texas all hold their primaries in March.

Nevada, however, is scheduled to hold its primary in February, but DeSantis is polling above 20 percent there, and lower in the other three states his campaign plans to focus on.

A major concern in Nevada is how the state Republican Party wants to hold its own caucus even though a new state law calls for a primary election to be held.

“When you have that kind of uncertainty about how the election’s going to be conducted, that becomes a pretty unstable environment to be investing the kind of resources that we’re investing,” Perrine also said. “Nevada is heading to a lawsuit.”
