‘America’s Worst Mayor’ Tiffany Henyard Hosted $85,000 Party While Under Investigation for Spending Practices

Dolton, Illinois, Mayor Tiffany Henyard, dubbed “America’s worst mayor,” spent $85,000 on a party for the suburban Chicago village while she faces an investigation for taxpayer-funded expenditures.

Henyard spent $50,000 in taxpayers’ money on one hour of entertainment from two musical artists and then over $35,000 on other costs such as staff, activities, and equipment, according to WGN-9.

The event did not have a high turnout, according to former Dolton trustee Valeria Stubbs. “That was a flop,” she said.
