Biden Remains Bitter at Top Democrats as They Plan to Formally Usher Him Out the Door: Report

Fox News

President Biden remains bitter toward the top Democrats who organized his ouster from the 2024 presidential race, even as the party prepares a massive sendoff at the Democratic National Convention, according to a report.

Biden remains frustrated that former President Obama did not tell him to drop out face to face, but rather relied on his influence behind the scenes, Politico reported Tuesday. Biden is also angry at former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who he believes played the major role in forcing him to withdraw, alongside Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the outlet reported, citing three sources familiar with Biden’s thinking.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Commentary: Now That Trump Is President, He Can Remind America That Christ Is King

It is easy to overlook, but attentive visitors to George and Martha Washington’s tomb at Mount Vernon will notice a small stone above their graves, etched with these words from John 11: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” Though subtle, this piece of history reminds us of the distinct importance that America’s Founding Fathers placed on Christianity, particularly our Lord’s passion and resurrection. In a letter to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), the American Accountability Foundation demanded that the secretary of the Senate be instructed “not to foot the bill for Van Hollen’s trip” and called for the Senate Ethics Committee to open “an immediate investigation.”

Convicted FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith — whom Judge James Boasberg gave a slap on the wrist for his crimes years before becoming a public foe of President Donald Trump’s deportation policies — was more deeply involved in the deeply flawed Crossfire Hurricane investigation than previously known. Clinesmith, who worked on both the FBI’s Hillary Clinton email investigation and on the Trump-Russia collusion inquiry, pleaded guilty to falsifying a document during the bureau’s efforts to renew FISA authority to wiretap Carter Page, who was an adviser to Trump's 2016 campaign.
