State Senator Doug Mastriano (R-Adams/Franklin), along with fellow lawmakers held a bipartisan hearing Thursday in order to gather testimony directly from those Pennsylvanians affected by the train derailment in nearby East Palestine, Ohio.

“We’re at the community college in Beaver County. We’re in Monaca, Pennsylvania – about 21 miles outside the border of Ohio and 22 miles ease of East Palestine,” radio host and publisher of The Pennsylvania Daily Star John Fredericks said during an appearance on Stephen K. Bannon’s WarRoom.

He added, “This hearing is the first serious hearing being put on anybody. It’s lead by the Chairman of the Veteran Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee. This is a Pennsylvania Senate Hearing lead by Chairman Doug Mastriano – he’s got a quorum here of bipartisan senators attending. There’s about 300 people here in the audience, Steve; some of [which] are residents.”

Fredericks is on the ground in Pennsylvania talking directly with witnesses to the alleged fallout from the Norfolk Southern accident involving some fifty carriages, several of which contained hazardous materials.

Witnesses say they are suffering from a variety of conditions from rashes, welts, and other skin irritations to extreme headache and nausea they allege are from exposure to those materials.
