Lisa Marie Presley has died after being hospitalized on Thursday due to a cardiac arrest.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother, Priscilla Presley, told PEOPLE.

The 54-year-old was rushed to the hospital following a cardiac arrest and was placed on life support, according to TMZ. She was in an induced coma prior to her death.

The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, she was previously married to Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, and Michael Jackson. Her final husband was Danny Keough.

She also achieved some independent fame as a musician in her own right, releasing three studio albums, two of which reached the top ten in the early 2000s.

“She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla Presley said. “We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
