Moms for Liberty in Williamson County Wednesday announced that it will host The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh at an event next week.

“Grassroots organization Moms for Liberty – Williamson County (M4L-WC) will host Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire in a special screening of  ‘What Is a Woman?’ this Monday, November 14th, at 6:00 p.m., at Generations Church, 408 Church Street, in downtown Franklin,” according to a press release from the group.

Walsh’s hit documentary What Is a Woman? was released in June.

“At that moment, the ideology and political agenda surrounding gender in this country was laid bare for the average American to see,” said Moms for Liberty-Williamson County Chapter Chair Robin Steenman. “That agenda is absolutely present and at work in Williamson County Schools, and schools across Tennessee.”

According to the group, the event is part of its November focus on gender ideology in schools.

“By the numbers, there is an ‘epidemic’ of transgenderism amongst pre-teen and teenage adolescents,” according to the group. “In the last ten years, the number of pre-teen and teenage girls claiming gender dysphoria has jumped 4400% in the United Kingdom and experts suspect similar numbers in the United States.”

One of the key issues that Moms for Liberty is taking on is gender transition surgeries for minors, along with the LGBT agenda that is being pushed on children in public schools.

Walsh on Thursday said that Tennessee is going to battle on the key issue.

“One really important aspect of the TN legislation banning gender transitions for minors is that kids will now be empowered to sue their doctors AND their parents for butchering them. Parents need to be held accountable for the abuse. And in this state they will be,” Walsh said.

As reported by The Tennessee Star, State Representative William Lamberth (R-Cottontown) introduced HB 1 earlier this week, which would allow parents to hold doctors civilly liable for minor sex change surgeries.

“All ages” drag shows are also a hot topic of debate in Tennessee.

“In Tennessee, we’re not only banning child gender transitions but there’s also a bill just introduced to prosecute anyone who hosts or participates in a drag show where children are in attendance or might see it. We’re playing offense here,” Walsh said Thursday.
