New Jersey is set to become the first state in the country that will mandate its public school students to learn about so-called “global warming,” with curriculum focusing on the subject being introduced in the 2022-2023 academic year.
According to ABC News, the effort was led by Tammy Murphy, the wife of Governor Phil Murphy (D-N.J.). In an interview on Thursday, the First Lady of New Jersey falsely claimed that “climate change is becoming a real reality.”
The curriculum was first adopted in 2020 by the state board of education, but its implementation was halted by the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. The lessons will be mandatory for grades K-12.
“The districts themselves are able to design whatever it is that the way they want to implement and interpret this new education standard,” Murphy continued.
Lessons taught to students as a result of the new curriculum will focus on several scientifically unverified claims, including the alleged impact of global warming on public health, human society, and certain natural disasters.
“You can look around the world, whether it’s Pakistan that has a third of the country under water right now, or wildfires raging across the United States, and droughts in Asia,” Murphy went on, without providing any proof to verify her claims. “Here in our own backyard in New Jersey, we have our own challenges. Whether it’s sea level rise or microburst or algae blooms.”
The New Jersey curriculum will be made accessible for teachers to learn about through the New Jersey Climate Change Education Hub, an online hub that will provide teachers with lesson plans, educational videos, and other sources of professional development to prepare for the curriculum ahead of the coming school year.
Murphy’s rhetoric reflects talking points that have been used by the Biden Administration. Speaking before the United Nations in New York City, Joe Biden falsely asserted that the world is “already living in a climate crisis.”
“No one seems to doubt it after this past year,” said Biden. “Choosing which child to feed and wondering whether they will survive. This is the human cost of climate change. And it is growing.”

In my 75 years I’ve never known of New Jersey doing anything intelligent.
New Jersey is NOT a farming state otherwise the participants in this climate change crap would not be wasting their time. It would be much better if the participants would concentrate on learning how to farm, produce food and learn about the four climates, winter, spring, summer and fall and how to live and grow food within each climate. Places like Pakistan don’t have govts that spend their money and brains on building dams, and land controls to stop the flooding of low land. Pakistan will always have floods due to their govt is more interested in controlling its population by their fake religion which doesn’t allow people to use their brains to better the land around them. Money in Pakistan stays in the hands of the fake religion and its rulers. Look at Israel, it has taken dry land and figured out how to use the ocean to water their crops. Israel’s govt is interested in using its brains to live with their climate and adapt to it for the sake of feeding and protecting its people against bad weather which is nothing but Mother Nature. Those who believe in the fake climate change that is being used to take money from the people and waste it on projects those in charge want and not what is needed by the people. Climate change is nothing but a power and money grab of the few to get control over the world’s population and money, just another name for socialism and the next step up in govt, communism. Let the people use their brains and their money to handle their climate where they live. It’s called capitalism and freedom.
Between the high property taxes and the shoddy educational system I thank God every day that I was able to afford to leave NJ !
I think that humans have a false opinion that they can change the climate on earth. Climate was changing from hot to cold and hot again over thousands of years. Now we panic that the temperature raises for 1%C . In Poland where and other Baltic states, one can find amber fossils on the beaches. These ambers come from the tropical trees, now where is the Baltic Sea. Now there is rather cold along the Baltic sea. Maybe in a few thousand years, we will have tropical forests along the Baltic Sea.
Does agreeing with the curriculum’s assertions become a requirement to pass? If active debate is not allowed in class without recriminations, then it will be nothing more than indoctrination. I would hope the teacher’s lesson plan would provide all possible outcomes and honest discussion than apocalyptic scare tactics just to push an agenda.
Fake rhetoric…..
