The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF), the NRA’s political action committee, has endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for re-election.

Governor DeSantis was given an “A+” rating from NRA-PVF for his “steadfast defense and support of the Second Amendment” based on his voting records, public statements and responses to an NRA-PVF questionnaire.

In addition, NRA-PVF is championing DeSantis’ support of Americans’ fundamental right to self-defense and right-to-carry; his opposition to gun bans, anti-gun politicians, backdoor gun bans, and government-sponsored gun confiscation; his support of Florida’s hunting heritage and veterans’ Second Amendment rights; and his “true” leadership of Florida.

As a result, NRA-PVF is encouraging Floridians to “defend freedom” by voting for DeSantis and defeating his opponent, Charlie Crist, in the upcoming election held on November 8.

Democrat candidate Charlie Crist received an “F” rating from NRA-PVF for his “radical anti-gun positions” that include supporting gun bans, supporting government-sponsored gun confiscation, supporting the criminalization of the private transfer of firearms, being endorsed by gun control groups, and supporting mandatory government waiting periods.

In addition to his recent endorsement by NRA-PVF, DeSantis has been endorsed by groups such as the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC, Associated Industries of Florida, and the Florida Police Chiefs Association (FPCA). Most recently, DeSantis was backed by the environmental group Everglades Trust due to being “an absolute champion on Everglades restoration.”

Floridians planning on voting in the November election must be registered to vote by October 11. Early voting runs from October 24 through November 6 with the deadline of requesting a mail-in ballot on October 29. Mail-in ballots must be returned on voting day, November 8, no later than 7 p.m. EST.
