FreedomWorks’ Arizona contingency endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, according to a Tuesday release.

“Kari Lake is the only candidate in this race with the backing of the grassroots; for that reason and more, we are proud to endorse her for Arizona governor,” said Noah Wall, FreedomWorks for America’s executive director. “Having served as a news anchor in Phoenix for over 20 years, Kari is a familiar face whom Arizonans trust. We have every reason to believe that she will continue to be accountable to the people as governor.”

“Throughout her career covering the Phoenix area and beyond, Kari has seen firsthand how the Left’s agenda has inflicted damage on her great state – from Biden’s open border policy, to chronic homelessness, to attempts to woke-ify Arizona schools. A solutions-oriented candidate driven by a desire to see her state flourish to the fullest of its potential, Kari Lake is the right woman for governor. FreedomWorks for America’s grassroots network in Arizona is booming, and our activists are excited to officially get behind her campaign.”

FreedomWorks describes itself as “the nation’s premier grassroots advocacy group dedicated to freedom and small government.”

So far, it has been a banner week for the Lake campaign.

New polling shows that she is leading her gubernatorial race against Arizona’s Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs by a small margin.

The Arizona Sun Times reported:

A new poll released by the Trafalgar Group shows Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake with a 0.7 percent lead over Democrat Katie Hobbs and GOP U.S. Senate nominee Blake Masters facing a 3.3 percent deficit to incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator John Kelly (D-AZ).

The poll was conducted from August 24 through August 27, had 1,074 respondents that were likely general election voters, had a confidence rating of 95 percent and had a 2.9 percent margin of error.

Both Arizona statewide races are in a virtual dead heat, according to the poll.

In the race for governor, Republican nominee Lake achieves 46.5 percent to Hobbs’ 45.8 percent. The Libertarian Party nominee Barry J. Hess registers at 2.6 percent, and 5.1 percent of respondents were undecided.

The Republican Party of Arizona touted the poll on its Twitter account, and Lake shared the message on hers.

“Arizonans have spoken. We’re in the lead. Let’s win this!” the organization said.
