Rockford Spring Company officials announced Thursday that the company will establish new manufacturing operations in Lewisburg. Founded in 1952, Rockford Spring Company manufactures custom precision springs and wire forms for automotive, agriculture, firearms, hydraulics and outdoor power equipment, as well as many other industries.

The company will invest $10.3 million and create 62 new jobs in Marshall County as it locates in an existing facility at 1100 Garrett Parkway, according to a press release by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD). By establishing a presence in Tennessee, the Illinois-based company “will utilize the Lewisburg facility to serve its existing markets while also expanding its customer base in the southeastern U.S.,” the press release notes.

“Companies choose to invest in Tennessee because of our strong business climate and highly skilled workforce,” Tennessee Governor Bill Lee said in a statement. “Rockford Spring’s decision to establish operations in Lewisburg will ensure opportunity for Tennesseans in Marshall County, and I look forward to their success.”

The company’s new facility will increase its employment to roughly 150 people across its two U.S. operations in Illinois and Tennessee, according to TNECD.

“The Banas family purchased Rockford Spring in 2007 and has been growing the 70-year-old company for the last 15 years. We would like to thank the state of Tennessee, local economic development team, Marshall County and TVA along with local contractors who have all assisted in bringing Rockford Spring to Lewisburg,” Rockford Spring Company Vice President Dave Lester said in a statement. “We are thrilled to open our new division and welcome new employment opportunities enhancing growth and continuing the positive culture we thrive to achieve. Rockford Spring looks forward to becoming a productive part of Lewisburg and striving to take on a supportive role in the community.”
