Kari Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson remain the top two leaders in the Arizona GOP gubernatorial primary, new polling finds.

The survey, administered by The Trafalgar Group, gave Lake 38 percent of the support and Taylor Robson 27 percent. Former Congressman Matt Salmon picked up almost 11 percent.

14 percent of the electorate remains undecided.

The independent analysis spoke to 1,064 likely GOP voters across the state and maintained a 2.99 percent margin of error.

Notably, the poll was conducted before businessman Steve Gaynor announced the suspension of his campaign. He picked up 5.5 percent. In his announcement, Gaynor pointed to previous polling that demonstrated similar numbers.

“This week I received survey results that showed I would have a high probability of winning against each of the other candidates in a head-to-head matchup. In a three-way race, I would have a reasonable probability of winning. However, in a four-way race, my chance of winning is low enough to be unrealistic. Kari Lake and Karrin Robson are not exiting the race and Matt Salmon assures me that he is not either. I am nothing if not a rational decision-maker, and I therefore have decided to suspend my campaign for governor,” Gaynor said in a statement.

“I am grateful to those who have encouraged and supported me in this effort, especially my wife and my three children. I thank my volunteers and my staff, whose energy and enthusiasm have powered my campaign. I will support the Republican nominee for governor and look forward with hope and optimism for Arizona’s future.”

As the contest has tightened, attacks on Lake and Taylor Robson have become more targeted. Lake has repeatedly referred to Taylor Robson as “Doug Ducey in a dress,” knocking the state’s current Republican governor.

Additionally, some media reports have detailed that Lake campaigned and knocked doors for former President Barack Obama. Lake has denied the claims.
