The small town of Water Valley in Maury County, Tennessee has been listed “for sale.” Over the span of 7 acres, four stores from the early 1900s, a barn, a residence and a creek are on the market for $725,000.

Real estate broker Christa Swartz with Fathom Realty represents the current owners. According to News Channel 5, the four owners are relatives who care deeply about the seven acres yet for different reasons are needing to move on.

The property description on Fathom Realty says, “Incredible opportunity to own the original little town of Water Valley. This listing includes 7 acres, 4 pre-1900 built general stores, the original Stock Barn, and the most beautiful frontage along Leiper’s Creek! 2 buildings have updated wiring and plumbing, grandfathered in to be used for commercial, residential, B&B, or get creative! Parking and Picnic space and Mulberry trees galore. 3520 & 3535 Water Valley Road included in this sale. DO NOT TRESPASS.”

According to realtor Crista Swartz, the four owners she represents have already had interest from Los Angeles. “We’ve had a couple calls from Hollywood asking if they might buy the whole town to use as a movie set.”

However, the current owners are looking for a buyer who will preserve the properties that line Water Valley Road.

According to the Official Tennessee Department of Tourism, “Water Valley Community was one of Maury County’s first settlements, and the earliest marked grave (Sarah Fly, 1808) in the county lies here. In 1824, Water Valley had 61 voters and paid taxes on 14 slaves. This is a classic country drive, with stunning colors in the fall.”
