Country music star Jason Aldean pledged to “never apologize” for his political beliefs and the expression of those beliefs, specifically criticizing President Joe Biden.
The declaration from Aldean follows attention from left-wing social media users after Aldean’s wife, Brittany, posted a series of photos where the family wore anti-Biden shirts.
“I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country. This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way,” Aldean said in an additional social media post.
In the original post, Aldean’s wife is standing beside Aldean while wearing a shirt that reads “Anti Biden Social Club.” Furthermore, the following picture displays her kids, Memphis, 3 and Navy, 2, wearing shirts that read “Hidin’ from Biden.”
In total, the picture sparked intense debate among Instagram and Twitter users. Left-wing actress Alyssa Milano shared an article from The Washington Post entitled “Country star Jason Aldean used to keep his politics private. Now his toddlers are on Instagram wearing anti-Biden T-shirts,” adding a caption that read “No comment needed.”
Milano has a history supporting progressive Democrats and recently detailed she is considering a run for Congress.
In the past, Aldean has shielded his political views from the public. During the election, Aldean detailed that former President Trump was “busting his butt on the campaign trail” and “digging in to the heartland of America.” However, the singer has become increasingly vocal, especially throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the report from The Post, the musician celebrated the decisions made by members of the audience at one of his concerts.
“I’m looking out, seeing all you guys, and I don’t see one … mask,” he said.
“I’ve had just about enough of that,” Aldean added.
