Knox County, which had recently surpassed Davidson with the second-highest total, has dropped from 2,043 cases to 1,695 and Rutherford County has dropped from 1,373 cases to 1,044.

According to data from the Tennessee Health Department, hospitalizations among children are also at their lowest levels in nearly a month and the cases among all ages have continued to drop as well.

On September 9th, the number of people hospitalized with COVID among all ages hit its peak at a total of 3,831 total cases. Now, as of September 21st, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID has dropped to 3,171.
