After his administration bashed President Biden for cutting the supply of monoclonal antibody treatments (mAB’s) being sent to Florida, DeSantis sent a mass email to his supporters Thursday night to encourage them to help “fight back” by way of donation.

The email comes hours after data analyst for the governor’s office, Kyle Lamb, tweeted a statement from DeSantis that said, “‘We’re going to work like hell to overcome the restrictions and obstacles the HHS and Biden administration have put on us (with mABs distribution).'”

In the email, DeSantis further bashes the Biden administration’s recent efforts saying it is a “disgusting move that could cost Floridians their lives.”

He then adds that because the Biden administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have took over the supply and control of the mAB’s, it has resulted in “slashing the amount of antibody treatments provided to Florida by more than 50%.”

DeSantis’ email then highlights that Florida has treated over 100,000 patients and that positive data from those treatments include; a 50% decrease in new hospitalizations, 24 consecutive days of declining hospitalizations, and a 2-month low in emergency room visits since DeSantis began establishing statewide treatment sites in early August.

With those statistics in mind, the email again bashes Biden, stating, “Instead of acknowledging Florida was right to raise awareness about early treatments and to make these treatments more readily available, Biden has decided to make this about politics even if it means lives lost.”

Furthermore, DeSantis rhetorically asks, “So, why is Joe Biden stepping in and arbitrarily reducing our supply, especially when there is no evidence our demand has resulted in the lack of supply for other states?”

“The only explanation is that Biden and his cronies are punishing Floridians and residents of other Republican-led states because we refuse to bend the knee to Joe Biden’s ridiculous unconstitutional edicts,” he argues.

The email concludes by again defending the potential lives at risk, and says, “This is bigger than politics. Lives are at stake. We cannot allow Joe Biden’s quest for bitter revenge on political adversaries to put lives at risk. Thank you for helping us keep Florida free and know, I’ve only begun to fight!”

Supporters are then directed towards a link at the bottom of the email below DeSantis’ signature that brings them to a website where they can “chip in” to “help us continue the fight!”
